BJP Constructions is a licensed building practitioner and a member of the Master Builder’s Association and the Housing Industry Association. As active members of all relevant associations, we stay abreast of the latest new technologies and health and safety issues within the industry.
Brendan completed Certificate 3 in Carpentry in 1992. He started work for a large commercial builder from 1992 -1998, where his responsibilities were to look after structural and civil works mainly on large shopping centres and major infrastructure projects like the MCG Southern Stand. During this time he was consistently promoted from Junior Leading Hand through to Supervisor in 1997.

Now overseeing even larger projects and in charge of employees Brendan found this appointment was challenging and stressful, but always rewarding.

In 1998 Brendan and his wife decided that now, before starting their family, was the right time to start their own business. As Brendan had completed his apprenticeship in domestic renovations he was keen to start in this area. BJP Constructions was registered as a Sub-Contract Carpentry business with a view to provide strong customer service with a quality product at a fair price.

The work load increased and through the experience gained, BJP Constructions became a Registered Builder with Unlimited Domestic Licences in 2000. Since then, BJP has grown into a company with sound practical knowledge, a strong sense of client satisfaction and a commitment to quality.

Travis completed Certificate 3 in Carpentry and then went on to open his own business in Sub Contract Carpentry. This business ran successfully for 6 years and covered all aspects of domestic renovation from foundations to finer details at completion stage. Travis and his team were engaged as Sub Contractors by BJP Constructions to undertake various difficult projects and ensure the work was completed, on time, on budget and to the high level BJP expect on every project.

Three years ago Travis was invited to become a member of the team at BJP as was recruited as a Site Foreman. He has continued to show his strong leadership, attention to detail and forward planning skills.

As BJP’s work load increased we required a full time Project Manager. Our first move was to look in-house to our present employees and it was clear Travis was ready to take the next step.

Travis now managers construction projects from foundations to completion and monitors all quality and scheduling throughout the project using our proven quality assurance policies and scheduling techniques.Through on-going training Travis’s management skills are always improving and raising the level of commitment by us all.
Trevor did his apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery in the 1960’s with a large Geelong Building company, Murray & Rowe Master Builders. Three years into his apprenticeship, he was made Leading Hand Carpenter assisting the foreman on a number of large projects and later became Site Foreman.

Trevor took on the roll of Building Supervisor in 1967 with AV Jennings Public Housing Sector where he was in charge of huge projects such as 78 homes at Churchill, 66 homes at Sale and 98 homes at Wodonga to name a few. During the 1970’s Trevor worked for several large companies always as Construction Supervisor or Project Manager. These years gave him valuable experience in the commercial and industrial sector. During the Eighties and until 1998 Trevor continued to be sort out by large construction companies to manage and supervise all types of construction from domestic second stories to massive commercial ventures.

1998, Brendan started up his company, BJP Constructions and Trevor was there to assist, guide and work beside his son. He assisted Brendan in the day to day running of the company and as BJP grew Trevor moved into the role of Estimator and purchasing and Contract Administration. Trevor is a great example of a man with ‘Experience’ in the industry - years of advise and knowledge are there every step of the way.
